In today’s fast-paced world, professional women over 40 often find themselves juggling multiple roles – from demanding careers and family responsibilities to personal aspirations and self-care. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, thinking you’re already doing so much. However, this is precisely where life and career coaching can make a transformative impact.
As a life, wellbeing and career coach, I’ve seen firsthand how coaching helps women unlock their potential, even when they feel stretched thin. The journey begins with recognising and embracing your values, unique strengths and experiences. Through personalised coaching sessions, we explore your goals, values, and the barriers that might be holding you back. This tailored approach ensures that your journey is as unique as you are, focusing on your individual needs and aspirations.
One of the key benefits of coaching is the development of a growth mindset. It’s about shifting your perspective from seeing challenges as insurmountable obstacles to viewing them as opportunities for growth. This mindset shift is crucial for overcoming limiting beliefs that often hinder progress. By reframing these beliefs, you start to see possibilities where you once saw roadblocks, empowering you to take confident steps toward your goals. I encountered unbearable stress in my twenties and let is fester due to guilt connected with leaving a profession I wanted to love. I judged myself and was consumed by thoughts of other people judging me as a failure. I had no idea how NOT to be critical of myself since school had taught me only about how amazing it was to become a lawyer, not how to regulate negative (made up) thoughts that were crippling.
I wish I had met someone impartial in my twenties, someone who could have guided me and encouraged me without that type of heavy burden. Someone more than a career counsellor who did not actually care what I did. Coaches are different.
Coaching with me emphasises not only moving forward towards your goals, but also the importance of the mind-body connection. As busy women, we often neglect our own well-being in the pursuit of balancing various roles. Through coaching, you learn to prioritise self-care and develop strategies to manage stress effectively. This holistic approach not only enhances your physical health but also boosts your mental resilience, enabling you to tackle challenges with a clearer mind and a stronger spirit.
It’s also a bonus that coaching provides a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your aspirations and fears openly. This support (I know, and am frequently told) is invaluable, offering encouragement and accountability as you navigate your journey. It’s about having a partner who believes in your potential and is dedicated to helping you achieve it.
My journey, overcoming challenges and later deciding to become a coach, have shaped me to live the best life with sustained happiness and success, doing what I love. I have to pinch myself sometimes, with such gratitude that I am in this position.
Are you ready to start your journey? Let’s work together to turn your aspirations into achievements.
